Electrical workers should be aware that it is mandatory for electrical workers to be competent in rescue and resuscitation in accordance with section 29 of the Electricity (General) Regulations 1997.
This regulation prescribes that "persons required to carry out, or help carry out, electrical work must be suitably trained in rescue and resuscitation in accordance with recognised practices within the electricity industry".
Low voltage (with CPR) satisfies the requirements of Regulation 29 of the Electricity Act 1995 as well as meeting the requirements of the Office of Consumer and Business Affairs in the renewal application process for an Electrical Workers Registration.

Course Content:
• Understand Electrical Safety Obligations
• Safely Plan a job involving Low Voltage Conductors
• Competently check a Low Voltage Safety Kit
• Demonstrate safe LV Rescue procedures
• Demonstrate management of electrical fires
• Provide first aid to burns
• Perform Basic Life Support
• Perform CPR
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
None: No Pre-requisite
COURSE DURATION:
4 hours face to face (CPR 2hrs and LVR 2hrs)
ASSESSMENT:
Firstaidpro offers a hands on approach with progressive assessments throughout the course including multiple choice course questionnaires. This is competency based training so our aim is to provide you with a total understanding of LVR and CPR.
AWARD:
Each successful participant receives our Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment in CPR valid for 12months and a Statement of attendance in Low Voltage Rescue valid for 12 months .
